James Snavely is an independent hog farmer. His farm has served as a long-term test site for the ElectroCell Technologies treatment process.
Here are James’ comments about the results we’ve achieved on his farm, in his own words:
“ElectroCell began testing their manure treatment technology on my farm in 2006, and we’ve treated my manure before every field application since then. The first thing I noticed is that there is no odor when I apply manure now. I have seen my neighbors walking their dog across my fields the day after application and they have no idea that treated manure was just applied.
The next thing we noticed is that the treated manure had much lower levels of nitrogen and phosphorous. I was exporting half of my manure at the time, and I was able to change my nutrient management plan and increase my application rates. All my manure stays on my farm now, and that saves me a lot of time and money.
I’ve also seen improvements in my soil. My plants are healthier, weed and insect pressure are down, and my yields have shown steady improvement. ElectroCell manure treatments have totally changed my farm. There is nothing else like it.”
